PIO Card can be applied in person or the documents can also be mailed to the nearest Indian Consulate. PIO card is valid for 15 years

I just happen to go to the San Francisco air port too see off my friends and found there is a separate lane where if you are member of “Clear Card” you don’t have to stand in the big line. There is separate lane, they check your ID do a Scan and you are In.
